Today marks an incredibly special day for all of us at JOVI India – our 7th anniversary. Seven years…….It’s hard to believe how much we’ve achieved and learned, as it feels like only yesterday that we embarked on this beautiful journey. Seven years ago (07-02-17), We started JOVI in a small basement with just two machines and two karigars, with one simple goal: to create and sell clothes that I myself would love to wear—clothes crafted with love, care, and ethical practices.
As we reflect on this journey, my heart is filled with emotion. JOVI India has grown into something I’ve cherished deeply—a dream I’ve nurtured through every challenge and every victory. It has truly become my little baby, and I could not be more proud of the progress we've made.
From a small Basement to the World: How It All Began
Looking back, it feels like a beautiful dream—the journey that began in a small basement with only two machines and two karigars has blossomed into a thriving production house, now with 23 machines and many talented artisans. Today, JOVI stands as a family, united in our mission to create beautiful, high-quality clothing, each piece made with love and dedication.
Karigars function as the life force behind JOVI's operation. Karigars at our brand love their duties. They are truly the heart and soul of JOVI. They have given more to me than just their skills and ideas because their distinctive insights have deepened my knowledge of the craft. The karigars provide me with constant inspiration by sharing their creative ideas and their daily ideas spark new knowledge in me.
Milestones and Achievements: A Dream Becoming Reality
Starting JOVI India brought me to places we never believed possible. The 2018 exhibition in Indore marked our debut appearance in an artistic showcase. We had no idea that this first exhibition in Indore marked the start of a worldwide adventure. From there, we kept moving forward, learning, growing, and building. And in 2024, we reached a new height—holding exhibitions in Australia and Spain. The feeling of seeing our creations displayed on international soil was nothing short of magical.
Between 2018 and 2024 we had the privilege of showcasing the work we do in places such Dubai, Bangkok, Singapore, Hyderabad, Delhi and other places. Every B2B and B2C exhibition provided us with opportunities to present our vision and establish connections with individuals who embraced our principles and build a big family worldwide.
The launch of Jiyara: A Special Range for Kids
In 2022, we introduced something that is very dear to my heart: Jiyara the kids wear line we offer. Named after my niece, Jiyara (she’s a very dramatic little one, by the way!) who brought so much joy and love into my life. Dressing her up was always a special moment, and that inspired me to create a line that brings the same love and care to every child. Since then and moving forward, every kids’ collection we offer will carry the name Jiyara. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted with attention to detail and the same love I would put into clothing my own child.
Our Core Belief: Ethical Fashion and Sustainability
At JOVI India, we’ve always focused on being ethical in everything we do. The business dedicates itself to supporting fair treatment of their workers alongside using sustainable materials and following a slow fashion principle that prioritizes quality over mass production. Our certification alliance with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade and Apparel Export Promotion Council demonstrates our dedication to ethical practices.
We also make sure to reduce waste by using leftover materials in our Half Mistake collection. From these, we create beautiful items like bags and gajras, turning what could be wasted into something special. Through this collection we honor our promise to sustainability and creativity while manufacturing each product mindfully for human welfare and environmental protection.
Our Expansion into Wholesale
In the last couple of years, we’ve also ventured into wholesale, providing wholesale women clothing for retailers and small boutiques worldwide. Our clothing is now available in stores across Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Dubai, and beyond.
Empowering new entrepreneurs to start their own businesses stands as the most rewarding aspect of this entire journey. The core purpose of our organization remains to provide support for those who wish to pursue their fashion passions alongside their everyday duties or 9-5 jobs. The global growth of our business has brought pride to my heart as I see numerous talented female entrepreneurs from across the international market thriving with us. We are now a very big wholesale family from people all around the world partnering with us.

Looking back, I’m deeply humbled by the recognition JOVI India has received over the years. We've been featured in prestigious publications like India Today, BW Business World, France Network Times, ANI, and E-Times, which has been a testament to the hard work and dedication we’ve poured into this brand. These features have helped spread our message of ethical fashion far and wide, and I am incredibly grateful for the recognition that has allowed us to connect with so many people.
What makes this journey even more special is the trust we've earned from some truly remarkable celebrities, who have sourced our creations and shared them with the world. Celebrities like Krystal Dsouza, Anita Hassanandani, Mouni Roy, Bhagyashree, and Sonali Bendre, Bharti Singh, Deepika kakkar, Isha deol, Ashnoor Kaur, Mahhi Vij, Erica Jennifer Fernandes, gauhar khan and many others have not only worn our designs but have helped us grow by supporting our vision. Their belief in our brand and their willingness to showcase our pieces has been invaluable, and it has opened doors to new opportunities, bringing JOVI India to an even wider audience. I’m filled with gratitude for each collaboration and the incredible people and some divine customer like Devi chitralekha ji who continue to support us along the way.
